Santa Got Mail!

November 20th, 2009

Naturally, every holiday season, Santa’s official holiday post office in Santa Claus, Indiana, receives thousands of letters from children all over the world. Today, Santa received a very special letter from Alyssa of Blacklick, Ohio. Alyssa did not send a letter to Santa containing her wish list but instead, wanted to express her sincere appreciation to Santa for taking the time out of his busy schedule to visit her home in Ohio. How very sweet and magicalistic! You, too, can spread the magic by creating your very own letter from Santa for that very special child in your life!

Noah’s Ark

November 16th, 2009

The story of Noah is one of the most amazing stories in the bible! In this story it includes a family, all the animals and creatures of the world, a flood, a gigantic boat, and the reason we have rainbows. Have you ever wondered what it would be like to be in a boat for over a year? Not just in it with your family but also sharing it with every animal and creature living on earth? A man named Johan Huibers who lives in Schagen, Netherlands, built an exact scale of the Ark given in the Bible. Take a look at the Noah’s Arc replica to see the Arc yourself, it’s truly amazing.

Christmas Magic: A Walking Trail Display

October 6th, 2009

If you’re lucky enough to live close to this display in Southeastern Pennsylvania, this could be a fun family event that really heightens the Christmas spirit for you and your children. Christmas Magic is a 1/2 mile walking trail through the woods that is handicapped accessible and features hundreds of thousands of Christmas lights, a train display, and holiday scenes, along with five heating pavilions to warm you up. This year, the show will also feature lighting synchronized to music. Canned food donations will be collected at the park for needy families to help them get through the holiday season. It’s pretty cheap to get in ($8 for adults, $7 for seniors, $6 for children, and kids under 4 are free), so it’s a great budget-friendly way to get into the holiday spirit.
